UX Leadership

Decide with Data
The only way to answer questions in UX is with user data. Anything else is a guess.
Validating assumptions early is critical, and the only way to do that is to get out and talk to the users, and truly understand their needs and pain points.

Hire Great People, Help them Thrive
Passion is a flame, and managers can either feed it or kill it.
I hired great people and gave them the tools they needed to thrive: mentorship, training, regular feedback, and trust.

Streamline the Process
Bad processes introduce inefficiency, confusion and frustration.
As a self-described “process nerd,” I was consulted numerous times internally to help streamline cumbersome or inefficient work processes, which resulted in smoother operations and happier employees.
For my design team, I implemented the "double diamond" process, with a mix of user research and iterative, collaborative design.

Be a Force Multiplier
The best teams are more than the sums of their parts.
My goal was always to help my employees reach their full potential, to ensure they had the tools, training, guidance, processes, and relationships necessary for them to thrive.
